Darkly sticky, yet light and fluffy, this delicious treat made with medjool dates, walnuts and spices coated top to toe with a rich butter toffee sauce, is a firm favourite especially served with cream or icecream.

Ingredients: butter (milk), double cream (milk), dates (sulphites), baking powder (wheat flour, sodium acid pyrophosphate E450(i), sodium bicarbonate E500(ii), plain flour (wheat flour, calcium carbonate, iron, niacin, thiamine), egg walnuts (nuts) bicarbonate of soda, golden caster sugar, light muscovado sugar, dark muscovado sugar.

Cooking instructions from frozen.

For best results preheat the oven to 150ºC (fan), 300ºF, Gas 2, remove the lid, cover with foil and cook from frozen in the foil dish for 40 minutes.


Oven devices may vary. These instructions have been tested using an accurate oven thermometer and we recommend that, to ensure this product is properly cooked, you use one too!
