Pieces of locally reared beef cooked in a Wold Top’s Shepherd’s Watch (beer) sauce with shallots and chestnut mushrooms topped with an all butter flaky pastry.
Tender hunks of Givendale beef with caramelised chestnut mushrooms and shallots, leek and carrot in a delicious gravy enriched with bacon lardons, Shepherd’s Watch Wold Top ale and a drop of brandy, topped with an all butter flaky pastry lid made with Bradshaws flour and Longley Farm butter.
Ingredients: Stewing steak, leek, Shepherds Watch beer (barley malt, wheat, hops, yeast), bacon lardons (pork (87%), water, salt, antioxidant: sodium ascorbate; preservatives: sodium nitrite, potassium nitrate), butter, (milk) flour (wheat), celery, carrot, onion, thyme, bay leaf, parsley, chestnut mushrooms, shallots, brandy (sulphites), egg, demerara sugar, cornflour.
Cooking instructions from frozen: Not suitable for microwave cooking.
Preheat the oven to 180ºC (fan) 350ºF, Gas 4, remove the wrapping and place the container on a baking sheet. Cook for 45-50 minutes until golden brown and hot all the way through.
