Sticky jasmine rice steamed in an aromatic stock with lemon grass, galangal, lime leaf and spring onion.
The authentic accompaniment for our Thai curries and the Duck Curry, this fluffy, sticky steamed long grain rice is imbued with the scent of lemongrass, galangal, spring onion and kaffir lime leaf.
Ingredients: Jasmine rice, lemongrass, spring onion, galangal, lime leaf.
Cooking instructions. For best results defrost in the fridge overnight. Once defrosted, keep refrigerated and use within 48 hours.
Open one corner of the container and microwave on high for 2 minutes, stir and cook for a further 1 minute. Rest for 2 minutes before serving.
From frozen – Open one corner of the container and microwave on high for 3 minutes, stir, and cook on high for a further 2 minutes. Rest for 2 minutes before serving.
Oven – Preheat the oven to 170ºC (fan), 350ºF, Gas 3, remove from the plastic container and put in an ovenproof dish, cook covered with foil for 25-30minutes until piping hot. Stir halfway through the cooking time.
Once defrosted, keep refrigerated and use within 48 hours.Oven devices may vary. These instructions have been tested using an accurate oven thermometer and we recommend that, to ensure this product is properly cooked, you use one too!
